DESCRIPTION / DESCRIPTION
Suggestive and colorful view of a Castilian village painted with impressionist taste, rapid brushstrokes and bright colors represent characters moving against the background of white buildings and flowering trees.
Work by the Spanish painter and antique dealer José Antonio Herranz, active during the second half of the 20th century in Madrid, for decades owner of a shop in the Rastro (the local antiques market) and refined landscape painter of impressionist taste.
Intense light, bright colors, and a gentle vision of the world often full of flowers are the distinctive features of his paintings. Influenced by 20th century Spanish painting led by Sorolla, José Herranz was a refined and delicate painter who was little known but of great depth.
You can find numerous of his paintings in the Spanish painting section of our Ebay shop.
