Made with the "frost technique" to obtain the effect of craquelure in some areas of the pictorial surface, this technique consisted of placing the still fresh painting in the actual cold and then working on it subsequently. This effect was invented by the painter Pancaldi and is recurring in many of his works, especially after the seventies.
