Three ancient engravings signed, numbered and dated by the painter Antonio Carbonati (Mantua, 1893 - Rome, 1956) with views of the city of Milan: via Mercanti - Milan; the apse of the Milan cathedral; via Torino - Milan.
Biography from Wikipedia: After studying at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice, under Ettore Tito, he perfected his skills in Rome with Giulio Aristide Sartorio. Having settled in Rome, he devoted himself to painting using exclusively the etching technique and from 1917 he created numerous views of the city, later purchased by the municipality. Two years later he went to Paris where he created a series of etchings purchased to be exhibited at the Carnavalet Museum [unsourced]. After returning to Italy, from 1921 he created a series of paintings representing views of the most important Italian cities. In Paris he was awarded a gold medal in 1925 at the International Exhibition in which he participated with some of his works. He participated in the Exhibition of Italian art from 1800 to today, held in Berlin in 1937, and in the first seven editions of the Rome Quadrennial.
