Detail painted on cardboard by the painter Gaetano Pancaldi (1922-2014) from Piumazzo di Castelfranco Emilia depicting a winter landscape with a dreamlike and abstract taste . The pictorial surface was treated by the author with the "frost technique" which consisted of placing the still fresh painting in the actual cold to obtain the "ice" effect. This technique was distinctive of Pancaldi and constantly improved and used. Signed.
The representation of nature and daily life were among the artist's favorite subjects, who was very active and well-known in the Modena area due to his work as a poster designer and the numerous exhibitions he held.
