Evocative painting by Maestro Gaetano Pancaldi (1922-2014) which depicts a landscape of the Emilian countryside so dear to the artist with the "frost technique" which consisted of placing a newly created painting in the cold to make the pictorial surface fragmented like ice. This technique was a distinctive trait of the artist and constantly improved until the last years of his career.
The representation of nature and daily life were among the artist's favorite subjects, who was very active and well-known in the Modena area due to his activity as a poster designer and the numerous exhibitions he held. A tireless painter, Pancaldi worked with unchanged passion until recent years.
