Particular oil painting on canvas by the painter Gaetano Pancaldi (1922-2014) from Piumazzo di Castelfranco Emilia depicting a stylized horse created with the "frost" technique developed by the painter himself and which consisted of placing the horse in the cold freshly made painting in order to obtain an ice-like effect on the pictorial surface. This technique was refined over the years and became his distinctive trait. Signed.
The representation of nature and daily life were among the artist's favorite subjects, who was very active and well-known in the Modena area due to his activity as a poster designer and the numerous exhibitions he held.
