Support and technique: oil on canvas complete with a guilloché frame in carved and ebonized wood
Author: signed "E Forlenza" lower right. Torre del Greco, 1861 - Rome, 1934
Born in Torre del Greco in the second half of the 19th century, Forlenza was a student of Irolli, and achieved considerable success for his portraits, especially female figures. In Naples he worked with Tito Pelliccioli and Luca Postiglione and participated in the 1913 Florence Exhibition of Fine Arts and the Promotrici di Belle Arti from 1912 to 1917.
