Detail of a painting on wood by the painter Gaetano Pancaldi (1922-2014) from Piumazzo di Castelfranco Emilia in which a winter landscape is depicted with the "frost" technique developed by the painter himself and which consisted of placing the newly created painting in the cold in order to obtain an ice-like effect on the painting surface. This technique was refined over the years and became his distinctive trait. Signed.
