Work by the French painter and illustrator Pierre Eugène Duteurtre known as DUT (1911-1989).
Part of a large collection of drawings by the French artist that we recently purchased and which you can find in our shop. These are most likely works created in his youth as exercises and studies.
Brief biography of the artist:
Pierre Eugène Duteurtre known as DUT was born in 1911 in Deuil-la-Barre (Val-d'Oise, France), he was a French cartoonist and painter who began his career in 1930 at the Société parisienne d'édition (SPE), in 1947 I began working at the Marijac publishing house. After a long career full of successes, in 1968 he abandoned comics to dedicate himself exclusively to painting. He died in 1989 in the Netherlands.
