DESCRIPTION
Detail of watercolor painting on wood by Maestro Gaetano Pancaldi di Piumazzo di Castelfranco Emilia (1922-2014) which portrays the painter himself with other characters seen through the water of an aquarium.

This effect was invented by the painter Pancaldi and appears in many of his works starting from the 1960s.
The representation of nature and daily life were among the artist's favorite subjects, who was very active and well-known in the Modena area due to his activity as a poster designer for the Communist Party of Modena and the numerous exhibitions he held.
