Fine watercolor and oil painting by Maestro Gaetano Pancaldi (1922-2014) entitled "The family" created with the "frost technique" which consisted of placing the newly created painting in the cold to make the pictorial surface
fragmented to resemble ice. This technique was a distinctive trait of the artist and constantly improved until the last years of his career . Signed in the lower right corner.
The representation of nature and daily life were among the artist's favorite subjects, who was very active and well-known in the Modena area due to his activity as a poster designer for the Communist Party of Modena and the numerous exhibitions he held.
