Created with the "frost technique" to obtain the crystallized effect in some areas of the pictorial surface, this technique consisted of placing the still fresh painting in the actual cold and then working on it subsequently. This effect was created by the painter Pancaldi towards the early Sixties and refined throughout his career until reaching the extraordinary results of the paintings of the 80s/90s.
