Brief biography of the painter:
Vincenzo Trucco was born in Montà d'Alba (Cuneo) on 14 June 1908. From a young age he dedicated himself to painting. Linked to art by profound internal resonances, he sees in nature a call for festivity and peace. He prefers the landscape. Certain strips of countryside, farmhouses, mountains and towns of his Piedmont with their load of secret beauty can be found in his paintings, enriched with an intense tonalism and a simple but essential design. Trucco follows the school of the Piedmontese nineteenth-century artists, and carries on the tradition of plein air, with personal introspections. He has participated in various exhibitions in Turin, Rome, Urbino, Bologna. He recently held a solo exhibition at the Bottega d'Arte in via Palestro in Turin). The Makeup palette is filled with colors conducted with a sure hand and played on the backgrounds. If his vision is that of nature, he knows how to place in the skies, in the hills, in the ravines the same passion that warms him inside. Its snowfalls have the scent of dittany, its dawns have the clear sky of the embrace, its rows smell of the glaucous flavor of the bunches. Like an authentic rhapsode, it expresses its truth by tracing the folds of every island of peace, where to place its plot: where there was the dark corner, the networks of colors will unravel, the ties of inspiration will fall, light and sweetness will come of a long life.
