Colorful watercolor painting on cardboard by Maestro Gaetano Pancaldi di Piumazzo di Castelfranco Emilia (1922-2014) depicting a glimpse of the town of Piumazzo in the province of Modena.
Made with the "frost technique" to obtain the effect of craquelure in some areas of the pictorial surface, this technique consisted of placing the still fresh painting in the actual cold and then working on it subsequently. This effect was invented by the painter Pancaldi and recurrent in many of his works especially after the seventies.
